Our Story

In 1990, this restaurant was founded by Maria Mayo, Juan Castillo and Rodolfo Castillo here in Nashville, Tennessee. Rodolfo Castillo and Macarena Castillo inherited the establishment from his mother, Maria Mayo in 1990 when she decided to retire and move to Houston. “My mom pushed me at first to take over the restaurant. Although it was nice to have all of my family members working here in the restaurant after my parents returned to Houston”, says Castillo.

Besides being able to serve authentic Mexican food such as fajitas, tacos and gorditas. We are best known for our popular dish which is our tamales. Everything is made fresh from scratch, and our tamales are much thicker than other restaurants.
